Apple Pie recipe

Apple Pie
For 9" Pie
Mix together 3/4 to 1 Cup Sugar.
2 Tablespoons Starch
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1/8 Teaspoon Salt
Mix lightly with sugar/starch 5 to 7 Tart Apples
Place into Pastry lined pan (9 inch)
Dot with 2 Tablespoons butter
  1. Cover with top crust with slits, optionally lattice top.
  2. Bake at 450 F for about 35-45 minutes
  3. Or until crust is nicely browned and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust.
  4. For well-baked browned under crust choose pie pans of Pyrex glass or Aluminum pans with shiny finish.
  5. Serve slightly warm, not hot.
  6. We wrap our pie in foil and freeze them.
