For 9" Pie

Mix together
|
3/4 to 1 Cup Sugar.
2 Tablespoons Starch
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1/8 Teaspoon Salt

Mix lightly with sugar/starch
|
5 to 7 Tart Apples
|
|
Place into
|
Pastry lined pan (9 inch)
Dot with 2 Tablespoons butter

Cover with top crust with slits, optionally lattice top.

Bake at 450 F for about 35-45 minutes

Or until crust is nicely browned and juice begins to bubble through slits
in crust.

For well-baked browned under crust choose pie pans of Pyrex glass or
Aluminum pans with shiny finish.

Serve slightly warm, not hot.

We wrap our pie in foil and freeze them.
