Making Blackberry Pies

For 9" Pie
Mix together 1 Cup Sugar
5 Tablespoons Starch
Mix lightly with sugar/starch 4 cups Fresh Berries
Pour into Pastry lined pan
Dot with 2 Tablespoons butter
  1. Cover with top crust.
  2. Bake at 425 F for about 35-45 minutes
  3. Or until crust is nicely browned and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust.
  4. For well-baked browned under crust choose pie pans of Pyrex glass or Aluminum pans with shiny finish.
  5. Serve slightly warm, not hot.
  6. We wrap our pie in foil and freeze them.
