Paul and Loren on the Swing

Dad could make anything out of metal. In the background you can see the lawn swing he made for us. He welded it from steel parts. I got to help him make it. Mom made the cover and cushions for it. I remember the first time we used it the springs stretched to the limit. Of course all three of us sat on it at the same time. Dad replaced the sprung springs with a heavier set and it worked fine. Here Loren and I rock on the swing until he saw Mom with the camera and off he ran. You can see the new room to the left and the garage to the right.
