Alameda Flying Club

Paul Noll Learns to Fly at Hayward, California

Alameda Flying Club

The Alameda Flying Club had three planes for members to fly, a Cessna Aerobat 152, a Cessna Skyhawk 172, and a Cessna 182. You paid $600 to join the club and then you became part owner of the three planes. The 152 cost members $8 an hour wet. Wet means they pay for the gas. The 172 cost $12 an hour wet. The 182 costs $16 wet. Bernice and our two sons washed the three planes every week. That gave Paul 3 hours of flight time free. The two boys worked hard for Dad's lessons.
