On Right Downwind Leg for 29 Right

Here I have returned to the Hayward airport and notified the tower my intension of landing there. I have been directed to make downwind traffic to 29 R and report abeam the tower. I have radioed them I am abeam the tower and have been given permission to land. After I have traveled far enough downwind, I will turn to the right on a crosswind leg. If other traffic may also be in the process of landing the tower will notify me how many other planes I must follow. At Van Nuys they told me I was number 23 in the pattern. That means 22 other planes are ahead of me. You can see the tower just to the right in the picture.
