Japanese Andromeda
(Lily-of-the-Valley Shrub)

Pieris japonica (Andromeda japonica) Upright, dense, tiered growth to 9-10 foot. Mature leaves are glossy dark green, 3 inch long, new growth bronzy pink to red. Drooping clusters of flower buds form in autumn and are attractive even before opening to white, flowers in February to May. We have four of these in the back yard.
