Baby Blue Eyes

Nemophila menziesii (Waterleaf Family - Hydrophyllaceae) A low plant with pale or clear blue slender stalks growing near the ends of slender leaning branched stems. Flowers: 1/2 - 1 1/2 cm wide; corolla with five broad, pale or bright blue petals, often paler near base. Flowers March to June. Range: Central Oregon to Southern California. One of the most charming and best known spring wildflowers in California. We discovered many of these growing in our big circle.
