Himilayan Blackberry

Rosaceae - The wild blackberry of the northwest and northern California has contributed its rich, sprightly flavor to several varieties. We have to mow back the blackberries to keep them in check each year. We have many blackberries to pick in the summer. They make good jam, pies and cobblers. 2001 was the best year ever for blackberries. We made 20 pies, 6 cobblers, 4 crisps and had blackberries for breakfast for five weeks in 2001.
