Daphne

Flowers Growing at our Home

Daphne

Daphne odora Evergreen scrub. So much loved, so prized for its pervasive, pre-spring fragrance that it continues to be widely planted in spite of its unpredictable behavior. Very neat, handsome plant usually to about 4 foot high and spreading wider; occasionally grows 8-10 foot high. Flowers are deep red on outside, with creamy pink throats -- appear in nosegay clusters at ends of branches. Blooms February to March. We have two of these in the back yard about 3 feet high.
