Escallonia in bloom

Flowers Growing at our Home

Escallonia

Escallonia Saxifragaceae Evergreen scrub. Native to South America, principally Chile. Wind hardy, clean looking, with glossy leaves. Clusters of flowers in summer and fall. Fast growing, attractive to bees. We have planted four of these in the front yard in 2000. They have expanded and have bloomed well in 2001. We will transplant two of them the small circle.
