Pleasant Hill is an unincorporated town of a few hundred people. It is located on Highway 58 about 5 miles east of Interstate 5. Highway 58 junction with interstate 5 is about 7 miles south of Eugene, Oregon at milepost 183.
Downtown Pleasant Hill consists of Ray's grocery store, a feed store, a beauty parlor, a pet grooming shop, a florist shop, a deli, a video shop, barber shop, the US Post Office, a Dairy Queen that serves as a unofficial community center with Dallas Craig as the unpaid-unofficial Mayor, a restaurant, a fire station, pizza parlor, a High and Junior High School, a Grade School, a few churches, several nurseries and a cemetery.
