Landon Noll's Comments on Alf Landon

Landon Noll replies to his Dad's comment about Alf Landon:

I think Alf Landon would have questioned that "Staunch Republican" label. In 1985 just after the occasion of is 98th birthday he told me:

"Landon Noll, when I die: and remember by the time you get to be 98 you figure it might happen at least once; When I die make my coffin wide and deep for the way this Republican party is going I am going to need plenty of room to roll."

Alf Landon was never afraid to challenge the established Political titans. Consider whom he ran against for the Presidency when few others wanted to try. I was pleased to communicate with Alf Landon from time to time. I think they allowed that because, as far as he knew, not many people had been named after him. My (middle/first) name is something I appreciate very much. Thank you Mom and Dad.
