DSL Modem and Router

Here you can see our DSL Modem from Qwest, the company that provides our DSL service. It sits on the right. On the left sits our Internet router. Qwest DSL service allows you to send and receive telephone calls even when you are on the internet. They provide you with small units you must place on each phone to block out the DSL noise on the phone line. I drilled holes in the back to allow the cords to be out of the way. The link router gives you an additional degree of safety. We use the LINKSYS Model WRT300N. That unit allows for a wireless connection for my new Laptop Computer. It also allows me to hook up any visitors to the router and the DSL. I mounted them on a shelf high enough so I can view them to see the condition of incoming and out going data.
