Seal Rock State Park
31. Sea Watch Angelica lucida - A number of these can be seen at Seal Rock Park. Stout perennial from strong taproot; stem single, leafy 50-140 cm tall. Flowers: white, small; numerous in 20-45 small compact heads in 1-several compound umbrels; invocral bracts lacking. Common on moist beaches, coastal bluffs, meadows, stream banks; mostly maritime and at low elevations. Stems and leaf stalks of sea watch were eaten by aboriginal people who called then wild celery.
