Yaquina Head Natural Area
12. Fresnel Lens This Fresnel Lens came from France many years ago. They constructed the lens in 1968. They transported the lens in 1871 but they discover some parts had not been included. They replacement came in 1872 and the light first shone in 1973. It now sits in the lighthouse at Yaquina Bay. It still works today. You can visit this lighthouse at no charge.
