We started our trip from our home in Pleasant Hill. We drove over to highway 126 and headed east. At the junction of highway 242 we turned off on 242. That highway is closed during the winter due to snow. A winding narrow road, it has been replaced by a new all-year highway. Not suitable for vehicles with trailers or long RV's, but it makes a delightful slow trip to enjoy the scenery.
