Salt Creek Falls, Oregon

On Highway 58 at about milepost 57 is Salt Creek Falls. It is a lovely spot to wander about. We went at the end of April and while a little snow still lingered it mostly had clear paths. A path leads to the bottom of the falls. Great clouds of mist flow out from the bottom. Bernice and I love to take the drive on 58 to show visitors the falls. Originally a glacier cut a deep path for the creek. Later lava flows filled the creek bed and still later the end of the lava flow broke away to form the falls.
