Oregon Anemone

Anemone oregana - Forms open patches and has an erect stem with 1 usually bluish-lavender flower. Leaves : One at base and 3 in a whorl on stem, divided into 3 leaflets to 3" long, each often deeply divided and toothed. Flowers March to June. Found in open woods and brushy hillsides. Northern Washington to central Oregon. Spreads by by stout underground stems.
