Actaea rubra - Leaves: Few; near basil leaf large and long stalked. Flowers: Small, white and numerous. Fruit: Smooth, glossy, red or white berries; the red is more common. Ecology: Moist, shady forest, stream banks, and clearings; common at low to subalpine elevations.
