Brodiaea elegans - Locally Common, early summer, perennial, 4-20 in. Stem erect. Leaves 1-3 from base, withering before bloom time. Flowers lavender-blue to deep purple; petals ascending, with recurved tips; concave to flat staminodes are erect, do not lean inward. Grows in grasslands, on thin soils in meadows, open woodlands, below 700 ft. Native
