Orange Jelly Fungus

Dacrymyces palmatus - Irregular lobed mass of bright orange jelly with white point of attachment. Mushroom 3-8 to 2 3/8 in. wide, 3/8 to 1 in. high; brainlike to lobed mass. Flesh gelatinous, tough. Season: May to November. Found throughout North America.
