Meadow Hawksbeard (Dandelion Hawksbeard)

Crepis runcinata - Locally common, late spring-early summer, perennial, 10-32 in. Erect. Stems branched, leafless. Basal leaves oval to lance-shaped, lobed, the lobes pointing back to stem and sometimes with tiny teeth; stem leaves much smaller. Cymes of 10-30 flower heads. Flowers 20-50 bell-shaped cup. Grows in moist soils along streams, in low places. Often but not always found on alkaline soils.
