Forking Bone Lichen

Hypogymnia inactiva - A medium-sized, semi-upright (or occasionally hanging) leaf lichen; lobes narrow, 1-2 mm wide, regularly forking, hollow, the interior of lobes dark; upper surface pale grayish to pale greenish; lower surface black. Found on conifers in open forests at lower elevations throughout Pacific Northwest; common.
