Alpine White Marsh-Marigold

Caltha leptosepala - Common, early spring, perennial, 2-12 in. Tuft. Stems buried. Leaves arising from soil, longer than broad, to 6 in. long, heart-shaped, thick, shiny, entire, with rounded tip. Flowers 1 per stem, white with blue or greenish on outside. Grows in wet soils, seepages, at edges of snowmelt. Native.
