Rosy Pussytoes

Antennaria rosea - Locally common, all summer, perennial, 3-16 in. Mat with many stolons Basal leaves spoon-shaped, white-woolly on both sides, 1/2-1 1/2 in. long. Flower stalks 3-16 in. with leaves, topped with many flowers in cluster. Cup at base of flower head has pale to very bright pink bracts that are woolly at the base. White flowers. Grows in dry meadows, rocky barrens.
