Rosy Spiraea (Mountain Meadow Sweet)

Spiraea splendens - Uncommon, all summer, perennial, 1-2 ft. Small upright shrub. Leaves egg-shaped, with rounded tips, toothed near tip, hairless to slightly hairy. Flowers pink to rose in flat-topped clusters wider than tall, tops stem. Grows in moist rocky areas such as serpentine, conifer forests, at mid to high elevations.
