Broad Leaved Stonecrop (Pacific Sedum)

Sedum spathulifolium - Common, midsummer, perennial, 2-8 in. Succulent rosettes with outer leaves considerably larger than small leaves in center. Leaves hairless, gray to sage green, often some red, usually coated with blue waxy powder, widest near tip, thick and flattened. Inflorescence on ascending stem 1-3 in. across. Flower petals 5, separate. lance-shaped, with pointed tip. erect to open wide, yellow; anthers yellow to brown. Grows on rocky outcrops, often in shade, from coastal cliffs to alpine.
