Wormleaf Stonecrop (Narrow Leaved Sedum)

Sedum stenopetalum - Locally common, late spring-early summer, perennial, 2-18 in. Clusters of leaves on lower stem, spreading to ascending flower stems. Frequently small bulblets instead of upper leaves or flowers. Leaves in small cluster on single short stalk attached near bottom of stem. Leaves lance-shaped, tapering to point, often curved, leaves on upper stem with ridge on outside, often falling before flowering. Flowers to 40 on short stalks atop stem. Flower petals 5 lance-shaped, yellow with red midrib; anthers yellow or light brown. Grows in open or shady well-drained slopes, woods, rocky cliffs, at mid to high elevations. Native.
