Small Flowered Trillium

Trillium parviforum - Common, early spring, perennial, to 12 in. tall. Stem erect to horizontal. Leaves sesile; blade green with widely scattered mottling, nottling becomiin obscure with age, ovate to broadly ovate. Flowers erect, spicy odor, of cloves; Sepals displayed above bracts, speading, divergent, green, lanceolate. Petals are small linear-lanceolate. Grows in cool moist mixed woods, coniferous forests in Washington and Oregon. Native.
