Pyrola chlorantha Uncommon, all summer, perennial, 4-8 in. Erect stem from basal rosette of leathery oval leaves. Leaves less then 2 in. long, pale green above, darker on underside, veins not bordered with white, Flowers few, petals greenish white to cream, with protruding style curved downward. Grows in conifer and mixed forests in humus or boggy places, mostly at high elevations. Native.
