Farming with Plastic

This rural cooperative has gone into year-round vegetable growing. There are about ten of these large green houses shown on the far left. They also grow vegetables in the open field surrounded by the wall. I'm never quite sure if the wall is to protect their valuable crop or is a culture thing to have a wall. In order to get an earlier start they have used plastic to cover the rows. That will conserve the heat and get the plants off to a faster and better start. The earlier they get to the market, the better the price will be.
