A short while later Lewis come to me and asked how he could get a quiet place to study at night. He shared a room with five others and they spent much of the time making too much noise for him to study well. I struck a bargain with him that he could use my office. I couldn't show favoritism but if he kept the office clean he could use it. So I gave him a key to my office and he mopped it, cleaned the windows, swept the floor, polished the furniture and was faithful about it. I also let him use my computer to study and gave him lessons on how to use it. This is a picture of my office as I was teaching a class there of advanced private paying students. I have a hot and cold-water dispenser in the corner so I can have hot coffee or tea when I wish.
