19. Sam's Uncle Takes us to Dinner

Here you see us at dinner in a fancy Chinese restaurant. Sam takes the picture of Bernice and me along with his Uncle and his Uncle's friend. We appreciated Uncle's kindness to two strangers. After dinner he took us to the train. Because of his importance he drove his car right onto the train platform, which made it much easier for us to board the train with our luggage. Guanxi (connections) can be a great advantage in China.
