Chairman Mao Some Quotes from Mao's Little Red Book
Chapter 22 --- Methods of Thinking and Methods of Work

Marxist philosophy holds that the most important problem does not lie in the understanding the laws of the objective world and thus being able to explain it, but in applying the knowledge of these laws actively to change the world.

Where do correct ideas come from? Do they drop from the skies? No. They come from social practice, and from it alone; they come from three kinds of social practice, the struggle for production, the class struggle and scientific experiment.

It is man's social being that determines his thinking. Once the correct characteristic of the advanced class are grasped by the masses, these ideas turn into a material force which changes society and changes the world.

In this world, things are complicated and are decided by many factors. We should look at problems from different aspects, not just from one.
