Sinchon Throws a Celebration 581st Radio Relay Co. in North Korea (1950)
24. We listen to speeches before the Banquet

We had excellent relations with the town of Sinchon. After we were there for a short while the town had a big celebration for us. There was singing, dancing and speeches. Arrayed here are the guests of honor. The ones with helmets are the South Korean Guards that were helping to guard our radio station. The ones in caps are the Signal Corps people. The civilians are the local councilmen, mayor, and elders of the city. Notice that the ones with guns are the Infantry ROK soldiers. The Americans in the back row after the one ROK soldier are Price, Dunkle, Turner, Fukemoto and our officer. I am aware that I don't remember the name of our officer.

Hi-Res Pic (117K)

I am taking the picture. The graininess of the picture is due to the fact that they developed the pictures with what they had in the town.
