Sinchon Throws a Celebration 581st Radio Relay Co. in North Korea (1950)
25. Sinchon Throws a Celebration

We had excellent relations with the town of Sinchon. After we were there for a short while the town had a big celebration for us. There was singing, dancing and speeches. Here the crowd is getting ready to leave. The speeches are over and the banquet is about to begin. I was genuinely surprised how many people showed up for the celebration. Soon after this there was a fabulous banquet, wine, beer, singing and dancing. Several groups of young ladies sang and danced for us. It was a pleasant evening for all of us. Everybody knew the Chinese had entered the war and that things were about to change. Notice the old man in the front who had brought his own chair, as did many others. Many people came from many miles away.
