2. Koreans Carry Equipment to Hill 1157

The local police station and I would try to select able-bodied men because they would have to do some heavy carrying of loads 10 miles up the 4000-foot mountain. Some of the loads were as heavy as 400 pounds. That kind of load we would use two men to spell each other. Someone would have to go with each group to make sure everything arrived and nothing disappeared enroute. The backpack these men are using is the Korean Chige (Chee gay). This man is carrying the motor to our power generator.
