CPVF Logistics Troops unload Supplies

The CPVF logistic troops unload supplies from railroad cars. The CPVF suffered heavy losses due to UN bombing raids. For example, on April 8, 1951, enemy airplanes dropped many bombs on the storage station at Samdung. During this one raid, the Chinese lost a huge amount of supplies in 84 railroad cars that burned down. The losses included 2,870,000 jins of cooked and raw grain, 330,000 jins of cooking oil, 408,000 sets of uniforms and shirts, 190,000 pairs of shoes, and large amounts of other supplies. About 30 to 40 percent of supplies get destroyed during transportation between the rear and the front. A jin equals to 1.1 pounds.
