Location in Oregon
Bullock's Oriole Icterus bullockii. Locally common in shade trees from the Great Plains west. Song is clear flute-like whistles, either singly or in a varied series of 4-10. These fellows showed up in a group for food and drink. Then flew off to our cherry trees to perch for a spell. They are colorful birds. We were happy to see them. We are happy to see all birds. They keep us busy putting seeds out for our fiends. |
