Step 1, Sort Plums

The first thing we did was to sort the plums according to ripeness. The ripe ones went into one box and put into the refrigerator. The less ripe ones went into a box that was left out to ripen more. That way they all arrived at the canning with similar ripeness. Bernice gets this job.
