Driftwood Hunting

Fort Steven's State Park is 10 miles west of Astoria near Hammond, Oregon. It is the 3rd largest park in the state, and the largest camping facility in the State Park system. It has hiking trails, a nature trail, and wildlife viewing areas, picnic areas, paved bike paths, lakes and miles of sandy beaches. Here we have driven on the beach looking for driftwood. Tied to the car is a limb that will end up in our front room as a pole lamp. You can see the wreck of the Peter Iredale in the background
