Playing on the Beach

We spend some time building a fort in the incoming tide. Chet looks a little dubious about the forts ability to withstand the onslaught of the tide. We try to build it close enough to watch it being reclaimed by the sea. We always take shovels and tools with us for the kids to do such things. They loved to make a dam where a small stream flows into the sea. The water backs up and eventually breaks through but the job seemed to fascinate the boys. You can see the Peter Iredale wreck in the far distance.
