Bumpass Hell Area

We approach the Bumpass Hell area. You walk a mile or so along the side of slopes and then make a rise to where we stand now. Bernice and Landon review the geodetic Survey Chart as the review the area. We always bought the charts of areas before we visited to be sure of the trails and elevations. We often went to this park when snow still lay on the ground so trails could be hard to find and follow. The charts help in that situation.
