12. Bumpass Hell Area

At the Bumpass Hell area the occasional smell of sulfur has prompted the boys to tease Mom with the expression that "Mom is wearing her perfume again." You must take care where you walk in this area. Walk only on posted walkways. The ground in this area sometimes gives way and you can be seriously injured falling into scalding steam or boiling water just under the surface of the ground.
