The Almost Fatal Accident -- See pictures for the story While teaching in Xiamen at Lujiang University students invited Paul and Bernice to a barbeque on May 1st. May 1st is a big holiday in China. What started out as wonderful outing almost ended as a fatal accident for Bernice. After a month in the hospital, Bernice was allowed to go home. She spent another month going to the hospital daily for bandage changing. Later she had to have a skin graft to help repair one damaged area and help speed the recovery. Soon after that, the school term ended and we went home. It was some time before she was back to normal again. She still has to avoid the sun on the burn areas.
