Marines go over the Wall in Inchon 581st Signal Co. at Inchon (1950)
4. Marines go over the Wall in Inchon

I have nothing but admiration for the Marines and the Army Infantry. They have a tough job. Here the Marines are going over the top of the wall in the attack on the City of Inchon. It takes many men to successfully fight a war. The two men who lost their lives building the road up the hill at Hill 1157 for our radio station were brave men. The radiomen who lost their lives in attacks on their station were brave men. I want to also say a prayer for the some 3,300 men from the US Army, Marines, Air Force who lost their lives in the war even though they were not lost in combat, they were brave men. My Signal Corps friend who lost his life from polio in Korea and never got to an Iron Lung was a brave man.
